One person is in custody after he hit a Springfield Police car Tuesday morning and led officers on a short chase.
Police were called to check out a driver who was passed out behind the wheel at Grant and Downing Place.
The driver hit the police car and sped off, eventually crashing his car near Fort and Berkeley.
The driver reportedly hit some spike strips before the crash.
He was arrested on suspicion of DWI after a foot chase.
KY3 says the officer went to the hospital to be checked out.
