The Highway Patrol has identified the trooper who was shot during a pursuit Friday night in south Springfield.
Colton Beck suffered serious injuries after he was shot in the head and chest with a shotgun.
He’s in stable condition.
He was trying to stop 36-year-old Justin Jackman from Springfield.
Authorities say Jackman got out of his car and exchanged fire with Beck.
Jackman is in the Greene County Jail on multiple charges.
The subject has been taken into custody.
