Springfield Police say one man is dead after a crash on West Chestnut and Airport Boulevard this week.
Tyler Dooly, a 40-year-old man from Willard, was identified and confirmed dead on Thursday.
Police investigators say Dooly was heading westbound on a Kawaski Motorcycle toward Airport Blvd when he left the road and was thrown from the bike. No other vehicles were involved.
Next of kin were notified.
This is the 17th motor cycle fatality in Springfield in 2021.
