We’re in the middle of a dangerous heat wave.
There’s an excessive heat warning through Thursday night for counties north and west of Springfield.
There’s a heat advisory through Thursday night for the rest of the listening area.

The National Weather Service says the sweltering heat could last into the weekend, with heat index readings as high as 109 degrees.
Temperatures will be in the mid 90s all the way into the weekend.
