Slow moving thunderstorms Monday night prompted water rescues and did plenty of damage.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Gene Hatch says some of the heaviest rain fell along a line from Aurora to Monett to Republic.
He says two to six inches of rain fell in the area in a three-hour period.
Hatch says the rain reportedly damaged five homes in the Marionville area.
Nobody was hurt.
