A wrongway driver caused a crash that killed two people Wednesday morning.
The Highway Patrol says 67-year-old David Galer from Pierce City was going the wrong way on I-44 east of Mount Vernon when his pickup hit a box truck.
A passenger in his truck, 46-year-old Joanne Merritt, was also killed.
