Groundbreaking is set for June on a new middle school in Monett.
Voters approved a $21-million dollar bond issue last year.
Construction will take about 14 months.
KY3 reports once its finished, the new school will have a FEMA shelter and modern library.
Since most of the curriculum is computer based, the school was able to leave out lockers, saving the district about $300,000 dollars.
