POINT LOOKOUT, MO. — College of the Ozarks will provide a livestream event, featuring the Honorable Newt Gingrich as keynote speaker, on April 15, 2021, at 1 p.m.
The public is invited to join in free of charge.
The livestream will feature a session by Dr. Anne Rathbone Bradley, the George and Sally Mayer Fellow for Economic Education and the academic director at The Fund for American Studies (TFAS); a panel discussion on Socialism by those who have experienced it, including C of O alumni and former faculty; and a plenary discussion led by Morgan Zegers, CEO of Young Americans Against Socialism.
The purpose of the inaugural 2021 digital Spring Forum on Free Enterprise is to introduce viewers to the history and guiding principles of two competing economic systems affecting America’s political landscape: capitalism and socialism. The discussion will challenge participants to examine the underlying assumptions and moral outcomes of both systems.
