A federal grand jury has brought additional charges against Missouri representative Tricia Derges.

Derges was initially indicted for fraud in February, with accusations that she illegally provided prescription drugs and marketed a stem cell treatment for COVID-19 that contained no stem cells.

Three more counts of COVID-19 fraud were added to the list of charges against her Tuesday.

The charges said that Derges sought CARES Act funding for COVID-19 testing that had been paid for at a for-profit clinic owned by her named Ozark Valley Medical clinic. In total, she requested $882,644 in CARES Act Relief Funds on behalf of her non-profit organization Lift Up.

The allegations against Derges say she concealed the fact that the tests had already been paid for by patients.

She ended up receiving $294,574 in funding.
