The National Weather Service says an apparent tornado touched down Wednesday afternoon near Wheelerville, damaging a house and some trees on Highway 248.
Meteorologist Jeff Raberding with the National Weather Service says the storm hit along the Barry and Stone County line, knocking out power and leaving golf-ball size hail all over the ground.
Raberding says some witnesses reported seeing a tornado on the ground.
Radar also showed debris in the air.
There have been no reports of any injuries.
