We now know the name of the woman who died after she was hit by a car on I-44 near Mt. Vernon.
The Highway Patrol says 18-year-old Hayden Harris from Deepwater was trying to cross I-44 at 4:30 a.m. last Saturday when she was hit by a car.
The Lawrence County sheriff says Harris had been reported missing.
