The Springfield School District has a new superintendent.
Dr. Grenita Lathan is the interim superintendent for the Houston Independent School District (HISD) – the seventh largest school district in the nation and the largest one in Texas.
She goes to work on July 1, following the retirement of Dr. John Jungmann.
