A man facing charges for the murder of his son has been ruled unfit to stand trial by a judge in Polk County.
Authorities say in August, Chad Baker attacked and killed his 12-year-old son behind a barn at a family member’s home in Bolivar.
Investigators say Baker suffers from schizophrenia and had concerns about the child’s safety in the past.
Baker will remain in state custody for mental treatment and his trial is up for review in June of 2021.
