One person is in custody after leading law enforcement in Polk and Greene Counties on a pursuit late Friday morning.
The pursuit started around 10:30 a.m. on Highway 13 after Police got a call about saying a woman had been kidnapped and went all the way into Springfield.
Law enforcement deployed spike strips and the driver of the green Jeep Renegade hit them with all four tires.
The vehicle continued onto westbound I-44, but ended up in a ditch with its tires deflated.
The driver was taken into custody at gunpoint just before 11:00 a.m. near Norton Road and Park. The victim is unharmed.
Police say the victim told employees of an establishment she visited she was being held against her will. The employees called 911.
