The National Weather Service has expanded the first Winter Weather Advisory of the season to include a few counties north and west of Springfield.

Barton, Cedar, Dade, Jasper, and St. Clair counties are part of the advisory until noon Tuesday.

A wintry mix and freezing drizzle will be possible Monday night into Tuesday.

But the weather service says it should have only a minor impact on area roads.

Here is the Ozark’s Daily Weather Brief for Monday, October 26: Wintry weather will glance the region to the north and west Today – Tonight. Most locations will receive plain rain, heavy at times.
