After literally years of meetings and discussion, the city of Springfield is moving ahead with the controversial development in Galloway Village.
City Council Monday night voted to approve “The Treadway,” which features multi-story apartments, retail space and restaurants.
It will be built along Lone Pine Avenue near the now-closed Sequiota Bike Shop, across the street from the park.
Several city council members, including Mayor Ken McClure, say this project will help the economic future of our area, while others say it’s the wrong size and the wrong density for this location.
