One person is dead after a car hit a pedestrian on I-44 near the Kansas border.
At around 3:40 am, Joplin Police received a call that a person was walking in the middle of the road near mile marker 1.2.
A short time later, a call came in saying a vehicle had struck someone around the same location. Names have not been disclosed.
