A man from Springfield will be sentenced in October after a jury in Greene County found him guilty of raping a 12-year-old girl.
Prosecutors say Ronnie Perkins, 34, sexually assaulted the girl several months before the incident came to light in 2017.
The victim’s mom became suspicious when she found text messages between Perkins and her daughter.
Perkins will be sentenced in October.
