A fire marshal is investigating after flames shot out of a home in the 700 block of east Pacific in Springfield early Wednesday morning.
The house is located south of Commercial Street near Clay Avenue.
Crews found the fire on both floors of the home.
No one lived there, and the owners were getting ready to sell the house.
The damage to the home is extensive.
