Two Libraries In Springfield Resume Passport Service By Appointment Only

If you need to get a passport, two libraries in Springfield have resumed taking applications.

Appointments will be required before you show up at the Library Center on south Campbell or the Library Station on north Kansas Expressway between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Passport photos can be taken without an appointment.

The libraries put a halt to the service when they closed back in March to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Library officials are encouraging folks to plan ahead because the U.S. State Department is experiencing significant delays in processing passport applications.

To make an appointment, you can call the Library Center at 883-5341 or the Library Station at 616-0683.
