Governor Parson has requested a Federal disaster declaration for 19 counties in Missouri.
Severe storms and tornadoes on May 3rd and 4th caused widespread destruction.
The Governor says the state and federal disaster teams have documented extensive evidence of damage to electric power systems and other public infrastructure.
“Our Missouri communities are already strapped by emergency response costs because of COVID-19,” Governor Parson said, “I am confident federal assistance will be forthcoming.”
Counties affected in the KTTS listening area include Dallas, Douglas, Hickory, Laclede, Polk, and Wright.
