Local health leaders are urging folks to donate blood, with many types at critical levels of less than a one day supply.
Community Blood Center of the Ozarks continues its Bleed Greene Blood Drive through 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Springfield Donor Center at Campbell and Plainview.
Springfield-Greene County Health Director Clay Goddard says he’s often asked on a regular basis what people can do to help our community during this global pandemic. “Blood donation is a safe and impactful way to do your part to combat COVID-19,” Goddard said. “Rigorous safety measures and social distancing practices mean donation is safe and easy for donors and recipients.”
Appointments are strongly recommended to ensure a smooth donation experience.
