A couple fundraisers have been set up to support Springfield Police Officer Mark Priebe after he was struck Tuesday morning by an SUV driven by Jon Routh, pinning Priebe between the vehicle and pillars outside Springfield Police headquarters.
Officer Priebe is in serious condition. His friends and family say he has a spinal cord injury and is in ICU.
He was scheduled to have surgery Tuesday night, and was told he will likely not walk again.
The Springfield Police Officers’ Association (SPOA) has set up the fund to support the officer and his family.

Another fundraiser has been made, not affiliated with Springfield Police, but it’s a GoFundMe created by Nathan Engelking and Ashley McGill to support Officer Priebe and his family as well.
The GoFundMe has been up for over two hours (at the time this article was published) and has raised nearly $13,000 of its $25,000 goal.
