Federal agents have arrested a man they believe was the chief supplier of the heroin and fentanyl that caused the overdose cases spike last fall.
According to official documents Greene County SWAT and the DEA used a search warrant on James D. Collin’s home in April and found both fentanyl and preparation equipment in his possession.
According to prosecutors, Collins admitted the drugs were his.
He faces a charge of Class C felony. Federal prosecutors say he was the “leader of a heroin and/or fentanyl drug trafficking organization.”
