New cases of the coronavirus seem to be slowing down in the Springfield metro area.
More people are recovering.
In Greene County, there are 80 confirmed cases of the virus and eight people have died.
But 38 people have now recovered.
Springfield-Greene County Health Director Clay Goddard says the pandemic isn’t over yet.
“I am very much encouraged that our numbers seem to be moving in the right direction. But this isn’t the time to declare mission accomplished. We have to remain vigilant. We have to be taking precautions for our health, and we have to stay the course.”
There have been 18 cases in Christian County and eight people have recovered.
Statewide, there have been more than 4,600 cases and 133 deaths.
