Missouri State freshman basketball player Tyem Freeman has left the university to enroll in a two-year college.
The standout from Springfield’s Parkview High School was sitting out this season to recover from knee surgery and has not played in any games for the Bears.
Coach Dana Ford issued a statement saying the decision was Freeman’s. “Tyem 100 percent made his decision to withdraw from MSU and has informed us that he will enroll in a two-year college to continue his development both on and off the court,” Ford said. “Although we will miss him, we are in support of his decision.”
