The state fire marshal’s office is investigating what caused flames to shoot out of a funeral home near Branson.
Western Taney County firefighters say they had to close east Highway 76 Thursday night while they fought flames at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home in Mount Branson.
Crews say the fire quickly spread to the attic, although one part of the building is still intact.
A witness reported hearing what sounded like tires exploding when the fire started.
No one was hurt.
