An issue with the Greene County Assessor’s website is causing confusion for those trying to file property tax assessment lists online.
The Assessor thought the site would be ready at the beginning of January, which explains the 49,000 postcard reminders that were already mailed to taxpayers.
As it stands, when you go to the website listed on the postcard, you do not have the option to file your assessment list.
The website is in the process of a new system update and is expected to be finished this week.
