Both Bolivar and Lebanon are requesting voter permission to increase their general sales tax.
Bolivar is also requesting an increase in sales tax, except to one quarter of one percent, (0.25%), but with no specific allocation included in the ordinance.
Lebanon requests an increase of one half of one percent, (0.5%), specifically to be allocated for public safety improvements. The city says the money will be spent on equipment, public safety employee salaries, and facilities for police and fire.
