As part of an effort to crack down on underage vaping in Missouri, the state will do compliance checks at vape shops in Greene and Webster Counties in November.
The Missouri Department of Public Safety says the executive order signed by Governor Parson this month directs it to deter the use of vaping products by youth in the state.
A manager at a vape shop in Springfield says the Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Control used two young customers to inspect his store last month.
He says he looked at their i-d’s and they were under age, so he told them he can’t help them.
The store then got a “congratulations” letter from the state.
