Greene County Deputies were dispatched to Highway WW and Highway 13 on Wednesday morning to investigate a potentially intoxicated driver. Witnesses claimed he had hit multiple cones and was behaving recklessly.

Deputies attempted to stop him, but he veered off the road at State Highway 13 and Farm Road 102. When authorities left their vehicles, they heard a gunshot. They ordered the driver to stand down and fired a bean bag round into his thigh which allowed them to arrest him.

The suspect is currently believed to be impaired by something other than alcohol.
