One person has died and another is seriously injured after accidents at the Lake of the Ozarks over the weekend.
The Highway Patrol says Sean Burgess from Peoria, Illinois drowned while watching the Shootout Race on Saturday afternoon.
Authorities reported no one saw Burgess go under the water, but had last been seen laying on a “Maui Mat.”
Divers found his body later that night in 37 feet of water
Troopers say a man from Sunrise Beach was also seriously injured on Sunday when the boat he was driving hit the shoreline around the 38 mile marker of the Osage Arm.
