Ozarks Food Harvest recently raised $10,000 for hunger relief through the Fight Hunger Faster Match Challenge. DairiConcepts generously matched every donation dollar-for-dollar up to $10,000 bringing the total amount raised to $20,000.

A one dollar donation typically helps provide four meals to food insecure children, families and seniors, but through Fight Hunger Faster, each dollar helped provide eight meals. In total, the campaign collected enough funds to provide 80,000 meals.

“Thanks to our kind community and DairiConcepts’ generosity, so many families will be able to put dinner on the table tonight,” said Denise Gibson, development and communication director at Ozarks Food Harvest. “It’s amazing what can happen when people come together to help their neighbors in need.”

Ozarks Food Harvest—the Feeding America food bank for southwest Missouri—serves more than 261,000 unduplicated individuals each year in 28 counties throughout the Ozarks. With both food and fund donations, The Food Bank provides more than 1.4 million meals per month to children, families and seniors in need.

“DairiConcepts is committed to serving our community and hunger strikes a special chord with us as a dairy ingredients manufacturer in the food industry. Our desire is that everyone has access to the food and nutrition they need,” said Joshua Haines, innovation marketing manager and philanthropy team leader at DairiConcepts.

DairiConcepts is a provider of premium, dairy-inspired ingredients for the food industry. Since 2015, the company’s gifts of volunteer time and funds have helped The Food Bank distribute more than 230,000 meals.
