The Go Farm Market in West Plains is pushing to add more locally grown food to help make the south central Missouri area a food hub.
The market’s manager says more vendors are needed to change the areas designation by the USDA, as a food desert.
Nearly 30 vendors sell at the market.
A customer appreciation day was held Saturday to give thanks for customers spending their dollars locally.
The Go Farm Farmers Market is open from 8 am to 1 pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
