Two members of a family from Lampe have died and another has serious injuries in a crash just south of their hometown.
The Highway Patrol says Mario Aberle, 49, died when his Ford Bronco ran off Rosemary Lane on a curve, went down a steep embankment, hit a tree and landed on its top.
A passenger, Eden Aberle, 14, was pronounced dead at the scene, and another passenger, Lars Aberle, 23, was flown to a hospital in Springfield with serious injuries.
The wreck happened at 7:45 Monday night.
