Another Round of Winter Weather Moving In For The Weekend

The Ozarks has a little break from the wintry mix at least for part of today.

Meteorologist Jason Schaumann with the National Weather Service in Springfield says it will be a quiet day during the day today with dry weather and mostly cloudy skies.

Schaumann says “bottom line is that this storm system is going to impact all of the Missouri Ozarks with the exception of far southwestern Missouri.

The National Weather Service in Springfield says another storm system will be bringing in light freezing rain, freezing drizzle, and possibly some snow.

Forecasters say it will be a mix of precipitation with a dusting of snow possible over portions of central Missouri along with up to a tenth of an inch of ice accumulation and this will cause some issues for roadways across the area.

A winter weather advisory will be taking effect at 6 this evening for most of the KTTS listening area and will run through 6 a.m. Sunday
