MO Attorney General Ramps Up Efforts To Fight Violent Crime

Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt says St. Louis’s high violent crime rate has held back the region and state in many regards.

Schmitt’s office has partnered with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District to help ensure that violent crime is fully prosecuted in the St. Louis region.

Attorney General Eric Schmitt tells Missourinet there’s no reason St. Louis should rank as high as it does in violent crime.

Three to five prosecutors in his office will be dedicated to taking on cases like homicides, robberies, car jackings and other gun crimes.

St. Louis, Kansas City and Springfield are among the top 15 most violent cities in America.
