Ice Storm Knocks Out Power To City Of Seymour

The City of Seymour is one of the many areas that are seeing damage from the ice storm Friday night.

Emergency Management Director Bob Crump says there is a main power feeder pole down in the city and crews are working to resolve the issue.

He says as of now there is no timeline when the power in the area will be restored, but he has crews working on it and more crews are being brought into get this issue resolved as fast as possible.

Crump asks folks who live in Seymour to make arrangements with friends and family for the next 24 to 48 hours if needed.

If you are unable to obtain a place to stay you can send the City of Seymour a message on Facebook and they will do their best to help.

As for other damage across the city, Crump says there were multiple trees and limbs down.

He is asking folk to use caution when driving, and be very aware of downed power lines.
