A jury in Arkansas has given a woman from New York a 3 million dollar award after she suffered a horrible injury to her toe.
According to the Arkansas-Democrat Gazette, Aisha Siddiqui, a medical student, had her toe caught in the teeth of a mall escalator.
Firefighters who arrived on the scene attempted to save the toe, but as a result did not administer anesthesia. She ended up losing her right big toe anyway.
Ms. Siddiqui’s Lawyer said her pain wouldn’t lessen until the day she died.
