Sam Hunt won Best Single of the Year at Sunday night’s ACM Awards, but the singer wasn’t there to accept the trophy. So where was Sam Hunt? Hunt thanked the Academy for the for award on Instagram Monday and explained that his best friend and tour manager got married the night before the ACMs.
“Body Like a Back Road” was released more than a year ago, and aside from his headlining 15 in a 30 Tour, Hunt has kept a low profile since getting married last April. In fact, Sunday (April 15) was his one-year wedding anniversary, as well.
