Group Holds Rally Against New Every Day Taxes

A group against new taxes on services people use every day will hold a rally in Springfield on Monday.

Amendment 4, The Taxpayer Protection Amendment, will stop new taxes on things like haircuts, daycare and medical services.

The rally starts at 4 p.m. at the Greater Springfield Board of Realtors at 1310 East Primrose.

(Springfield, Missouri) – Boosters of Amendment 4, The Taxpayer Protection Amendment to protect Missourians from new sales taxes on services they use every day, will have a Springfield rally on Monday, Sept. 12.
The rally begins at 4 p.m. at the headquarters of the Greater Springfield Board of REALTORS®, 1310 East Primrose in Springfield. The public is invited to learn about Amendment 4, which appears on the Nov. 8 general election ballot.
Amendment 4, The Taxpayer Protection Amendment, would prohibit any new sales taxes by Missouri state or local governments on services we all use every day – from haircuts to car repairs, from day care to rent, from medical services to advertising. Amendment 4 is backed by the statewide coalition Missourians for Fair Taxation. 
The Amendment 4 coalition has drawn broad statewide support, including the Missouri Association of REALTORS, the National Federation of Independent Business, the Missouri Bankers Association, the Missouri Press Association the Missouri Broadcasters Association, the Missouri Funeral Directors and Embalmers Association and the Missouri Cattleman's Association, to name just a few.
