Here we go.... THE WEEKEND!  Woo hoo!

FRIDAY

First Friday Art Walk in downtown Springfield. From 6 pm to 10 walk the streets and see local crafts, music and more. FREE

Trading Hands Kids Sale 9 am to 7-m at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds. Huge children's clothing resale. Free Admission

Springfield Cardinals VS Arkansas Travelers first pitch is 7:10

Ozark Mule Days at the Ozark Empire Fairground. It's open Friday 7 am to 10 pm and Saturday its 9 am to 10 pm.  Over 200 mules and donkeys will compete for thousands in prize money and bragging rights. Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for kids

Family Movie Night at the Library Center begins at 6:30. See "Moana" for FREE.

Powersports Bike Night at Youngblood Powersports in Ozark is 6-8 pm. Live music, show off your bike and meet other bike owners. $5.00 dinner with drink....

SATURDAY

Royal, Run and Rides Car Show 9 am to 1 pm at the Evangel Temple. The Car show and 5K ` mile walk will help to support the Southern Missouri Royal Family Kids Camp for foster children. FREE

Dog Days Celebration - pet adoption event September 2 nd, 10 AM – 2 PM at The Humane Society, Springfield – 3161 W. Norton Road  All those who adopt a pet at Dog Days Celebration will receive two (2) tickets to Dixie Stampede and a special Canine Capers care package for their new pooch. There will also be hourly ticket drawings, giveaways and more

Paint a ceramic pumpkin at the Maple Hill Ceramics Pumpkin noon to 2 pm at the Christian County Library. Registration is required 581-2432

MONDAY

 Labor Day Parade in downtown Springfield starts at 10 am north of Grand on Hammon's Parkway. The parade will continue on Grand then westbound to Campbell and head to Fassnight Park. A picnic follows the parade  plus a dunk tank, bounce house, balloons and ice cream. FREE
