Woman Burned In Pleasant Hope Fireworks Explosion Dies

A woman who was seriously burned in an explosion at a fireworks warehouse in Pleasant Hope last week has died from her injuries.

The family of Samantha Dean says on social media that she died Tuesday morning, a week after suffering third-degree burns, covering 60 percent of her body.

Tracy Livingston posted on Facebook "today I say with a heavy heart (that) my beautiful daughter Samantha Dean/Wood has passed away."

Doctors had placed her in an induced coma after undergoing surgery Friday.

Dean was 28.

Dean and her fiancé have an 8-month-old child.
