Sparta High School Teen Charged After Threatening To Shoot Up School

A Sparta High School student has been charged with making a terrorist threat after allegedly making threats to “shoot up the school.”

Cooper Hyde, 17, is charged with making a terroristic threat after students overheard making the threats to another student in gym class. It's the second time he's been in trouble for making threatening comments.

Investigators say Hyde admitted to drawing a map of Sparta High School.

His hearing is set for Tuesday.
