Some Customers With Liberty Utilities Will Be Out Of Power While Upgrades Are Being Done

Hundreds of customers with Liberty Utilities-Empire District will be out of power Tuesday night while the company makes equipment upgrades.

The utility provider issued a statement Monday afternoon about the brief service interruption for Collins, Weaubleau, Gerster, and Vista, Missouri.

It will begin at 10 p.m. and will last about 30 minutes.

 A brief service interruption has been scheduled for Collins, Weaubleau, Gerster, and Vista, Missouri, on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, beginning at 10 p.m. and lasting approximately 30 minutes.

Customers should be aware these times are approximations and the outage could be postponed or extended due to weather or equipment issues.

Approximately 700 customers near the Collins area will be affected by the service interruption.  This scheduled outage is necessary to allow crews to safely upgrade substation equipment as part of an ongoing initiative to strengthen the delivery system and enhance reliability for customers. We thank customers for their patience as we complete this work.
