Republic Police Arrest 13-year-old For Making A Terrorist Threat

A 13-year-old male, of Republic, was arrested early Sunday morning for making a terrorist threat after an overnight investigation by the Republic Police Department. 

Officers say a local teen made and sent a threatening video, via social media, that he would shoot up a school with an AK47.

A search warrant was signed and the juvenile was taken to the Greene County Juvenile Detention Center.

Authorities say guns and other evidence were taken from the juvenile’s residence.

The investigation is still ongoing.

The Republic Police Department will add extra security at Republic Middle School following the arrest of a student for making a terroristic threat.
