UPDATE: Springfield Police say the pedestrian hit by a truck at National and Norton Saturday afternoon suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Witnesses told police a man seemed irate when talking on the phone in the parking lot of Kum & Go, near the intersection.
The pedestrian then walked into the street on National and into the path of a truck.
The woman driving the truck tried to miss the man, but he stepped into her path and was hit by the side mirror.
Police say the man suffered an injury to his head and was taken to the hospital. The driver of the truck wasn't injured.

Most of the intersection of National and Norton are blocked by emergency vehicles.
