More than 160 lineworkers from Missouri’s electric cooperatives are headed east to restore power after Hurricane Florence passes through.
That includes teams from eight electric co-ops in the Ozarks.
Workers from Barry Electric, Laclede Electric, Sac Osage Electric, Howell-Oregon Electric, See-Ma-No Electric, Southwest Electric, Webster Electric, and White River Valley Electric are helping out.
Crews started traveling Friday morning.
They plan to stage in the area before fanning out into Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
Linemen from eleven states are responding to the region.
