Police in Ankeny, Iowa say a man who was killed by an officer after a robbery call was from Springfield.
A report says Officer Todd Webb responded to a robbery in progress at a Hy-Vee gas station.
Investigators say Christopher Leonard pointed a gun at police and that’s when Officer Webb shot and killed him.
The officer, who’s a 12-year-veteran, is on paid administrative leave.
