The Douglas County Sheriff's Department has confirmed an armed and dangerous man on the run for the past ten days has surrendered.
Dustin Huff, turned himself into deputies at the Douglas County Jail in Ava Monday evening.
Huff, of Ava, was wanted for domestic assault.
It started when Huff's girlfriend ran for help, saying he severely beat her. Investigators say he took off into the woods with a rifle. Then began eluding authorities.
Deputies believe several people helped Huff stay ahead of his deputies.
Last week, investigators accused him of stealing a truck and a rifle. He escaped authorities after they found his truck at a home near Ava last Friday.
